Estimate appliance electricity use and cooking-fuel spending from measured consumption and your own tariff or receipt. These worksheets do not reproduce a utility bill or establish equipment safety.

Estimate electricity use in kWh
Use measured average electrical input where available. Multiply by operating time over the chosen period. A cycling appliance may draw its rated input for only part of that time; avoid applying a duty factor twice to an already measured average. Cooling capacity in tons is not electrical power in kW.
Worksheet: Energy in kWh = average input watts × hours used ÷ 1,000.
Example: estimate electricity use in kWh
An average 100 W input used for 5 hours consumes 0.5 kWh. At an entered PKR 50/kWh, the energy-only estimate is PKR 25. Fixed charges, taxes and tariff slabs can change the bill.
Track cooking-fuel consumption separately
Record usable fuel mass and measured daily use in the same unit. Compare fuels for the same cooking task, allowing for real appliance efficiency and serving yield. A cylinder purchase also may include a deposit or delivery charge.
Worksheet: Arithmetic fuel cover in days = usable fuel mass ÷ measured daily use.
Example: track cooking-fuel consumption separately
A usable 10 kg supply at 0.4 kg per day provides 25 arithmetic days. Actual use varies. This estimate gives no instructions for cylinder handling, pressure adjustment or fuel transfer.
Prepare your inputs before comparing results
- Choose one task and one planning period.
- Record the measurement units and the source and date of each quotation.
- Separate quantities used, quantities purchased and any remainder.
- List costs included in the estimate and costs excluded from it.
- Recheck the result when quantities, prices or circumstances change.
