Build a cash-flow plan for one period
Choose a week or month, list take-home income expected within it, then list the obligations due during the same period. Separate fixed bills, variable spending and transfers into savings. Money moved between your own accounts is not new income.
Worksheet: Closing cash = opening cash + money received − money paid.
Example: build a cash-flow plan for one period
Opening cash of PKR 5,000 plus PKR 60,000 income minus PKR 54,000 payments leaves PKR 11,000. An unpaid bill due next week still needs to be planned.
Plan reserves and committee commitments
For a no-return savings goal, deduct money already reserved before dividing by the number of remaining contribution periods. For a committee or kameti, list every required contribution and the agreed payout date. A payout does not remove later contribution obligations.
Worksheet: Required contribution = remaining goal amount ÷ remaining contribution periods.
Example: plan reserves and committee commitments
A PKR 30,000 goal with PKR 6,000 already saved needs PKR 4,000 per month over six months. This assumes no interest or investment return and does not establish affordability.
Prepare your inputs before comparing results
- Choose one task and one planning period.
- Record the measurement units and the source and date of each quotation.
- Separate quantities used, quantities purchased and any remainder.
